This is a hole in the wall establishment located in Allentown. The seating area is all the way in the back past the market. Service is quick. They serve free chips and salsa (although the chips always seem to be a little stale) but still good. I come here for the wet burrito. It's one of the best I have ever had and I will make the 1.5 hours trip just for them! The salsas on top are actually spicy and delicious. The Al pastor is flavorful. The burrito is the size of my forearm and stuffed to the brim! 10/10 would recommend. Cash only!
I've been going here with my family ever since I was a little girl, it's the best Mexican place in the Lehigh valley area. It's been one of my favorite restaurants for years. The food is very authentic and delicious, would 100% recommend if you want real Mexican food. The tacos, burritos, sopes, and pozole are my favorites. Go support a local small business!!

My good friend cannot speak highly enough of this place. I went a few years back and was impressed with the authenticity of the meal and the portion size (the burrito is huge!). It is counter service and seating is minimal, yet the restaurant was festive and clean. The food was SPICY!!!!!!!!!! Be careful if you can't handle spice (like myself). Very authentic and impressive for northeastern Pennsylvania. 5/5 stars.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the country. I used to live in Allentown and came here almost weekly. Now, I make a 90 minute drive as often as I can because there's truly nothing else like their steak burrito in this region. A friend who grew up in Mexico recommended this place, saying that it was "the only thing that tastes like home," and I believe it. The staff remembers me whenever I come in, and has always made the experience great. You sit in the back area of a small market, and it's a perfect casual experience.
Tacos are amazing and real deal! Only soft beef or pollo tacos but definitely authentic Mexican cuisine.
I'm always looking for hidden gems when it comes to good eats. La Placita is a great example of absolutely delicious food in an out of the way location. Well worth seeking out. Service is friendly and efficient. Ambiance is totally in keeping with the hidden gem mom and pop vibe. The tamales have a kick to them, the La Placita special platter tacos are fine, but I really enjoyed the burrito.
Went there for the first time today. The food was delicious!!! My wife and I had the barbacoa and lengua tacos with rice and beans. Amazing!!! Very authentic!!!
